One set of Curtains Finished, Three More To Go!

Snakes!!

Daniel and I have lately enjoyed going bike riding together in the evenings after dinner. We find a park( there are so many trail rides here!), and will be gone for awhile.

Last night Daniel find a longer one, and I looked at it and said,"Lets Go!". On our way there, I pulled out the paper, and found at the very bottom, in smalll, very small print, that it said,"Watch out for snakes" SNAKES!! I really thought about changing my mind until we got there, and than I did not want to leave. Everything looked so beautiful, and so I thought myself, " How many times have you seen snakes in the woods?".

We are riding along, enjoying the view( I am still being very cautious of snakes), when Daniel shouts," I almost ran over one!'! My reaction" Where, Where, Where is it Daniel and keep it away from me!" From then on, I was being REALLY cautious.

I did not see another until our way back. It was on Daniel's side again( I am glad for that, no telling what I would do if it where on my side!), but this time Daniel got off his bike( and asked me to get off mine too), and slowly walked up to this snake( Don't worry Daniel gave the snake his space). He told me to come look at it, I was shocked he would ask that of me! I slowly started to walk up to Daniel. At first I could not see the snake. ( NOTE: If you grew up in my family you would know how I looked at it. I did the same thing I would do with heights!) Not be close, but stand on my toes, and I saw the snake. What did I do? Quickly ran back to my bike got on it, and said I was ready to go!

It took awhile for me to get over the snake! It was so ugly!

Well, now I need to go. I have curtains that need finishing!

Just an Update

Well I'd suppose some thought I'd never post on this blog again. I'm sorry to say "your wrong". I enjoy allowing others to keep up with the day to day activites, but that said I can't keep up with the time. The only reason I'm posting right now is because Christa told me "since you have a free second you should post something on the blog.". So that said, here is an update.
My life right now is fairly boring (in some ways). I'm trying to complete the two projects that I'm working on. Actually took Christa to work on Saturday. On a side note, happy be-lated birthdays to my mother, sister Kelly, sister Faith, and my sister-in-law Grace. Sorry this is so late.

Cake Decorating!

This past weekend I had an enjoyable time learning how to decorate a cake( Yes, I know that the letters on the cake are not centered! I am still working on that part! :-) )!

Just Keeping Busy

This past Saturday, Daniel and I enjoyed putting a garden in our backyard. It feels so good to garden again!

Daniel is doing well at work and staying busy. It is neat to see all the work that his does and watch the buildings go up! They say that one building will be done the end of May, and the other one in August, but it looks as though we might be here a little longer than planned!

I am doing well and keeping busy with decorating and cleaning our home. Now that we are unpacked, I can get to the serious cleaning. Today, I have spent my time on my hands and knees scrubing our kitchen floor. After mopping it several times, it would still be sticky and look dirty. As I cleaned up a water spill, I found that our floor has glue on it! No wonder it always looked dirty! Below are some pictures of our tiny garden and the kitchen floor( The dark parts of the floor is the glue and the dirty it was collecting. The last picture is the finished product.).

Please keep my family (McDonald) in your prayers. My four year old little sister, Emma, goes into to surgery this afternoon at 12 pm.

Please pray:

1. For my beloved parents. That God would give them strength as they try to comfort Emma and endure this surgery.

2. That Emma would continue remaining cheerfull about the surgery, and that she will recover quickly.

3. That God would give the doctors that will be handling the surgrey wisdom.

We have moved!

As some of you know, Daniel and I moved out of our tiny apartment to a two bedroom/one bath duplex. We have so much space now, and I am able to unpack things that I was not able to unpack in the apartment. Almost everything is unpacked now, and I am able now to start on making curtains for all our windows. I even have a yard to put a garden in!!!

Thank you to Abigail Allison for all your help in helping me pack the apartment, and in helping me unpack the kitchen! Thank you Mr. Ervin and his boys, and Mr. Allison, Mrs. Allison( for the food!) and his sons for helping us move our boxes and heavy furniture. We really appreciated all the help.

I will post pictures later! Need to find the wire for the camera to put them on the computer! :-)

McDonald Visit!!

Daniel and I were able to spend our weekend and part of our week with my family! :-) This was the first time to see them since Daniel and I have been married( three months). I really enjoyed seeing them again, and look forward to many more meetings!

Thank you Dad and Mom for driving down here! I love you all and will continue to miss you!

I know it is a little early(five days, but we are going to be really busy this week and I did not want to forget!), but I wanted to wish my sister, Tiffany, a Happy Birthday! It is hard to believe you are 21! :-) I miss our conversations, sewing together, playing music together, but I mostly miss your smile! May God richly bless you now and in the future dear sister! I love you!

Also, Happy Birthday to Faith, Kelly and Mrs. Blanchard( not me, Daniel's Mom)...Daniel WILL post later! (This is an obligation honey! :-) )

Happy Birthday Melissa!

I know it is a couple days late. We have been so busy that I have not been able to post.

One of my dear sisters turned 19 on Monday, January 29th. Melissa LeAnne McDonald is a sweet and helpful beloved sister. I am sorry I was not there to celebrate your birthday with you! May God richly bless you now and in the future!

As much as we are enjoying this cold weather, the ice here has become very terrible. As of right now, our apartment steps have an inch of ice on them. Daniel has to take the car scraper and scrape off the steps so we can get down without falling. Although, Daniel went to go and check the mail last night, and fell down fifteen steps, and landed really hard on his knee. I was in our bedroom and ran out when I heard all the thumping. I had found Daniel outside on the ground and when he came up he had put a nice hole in his good jeans.

Daniel and I had the opportunity to have his boss and his family over for dinner. I had an enjoyable time making a new dessert out of a cookbook my Mom bought me for Christmas. The dessert that I made is Chocolate Mousse.

Daniel, bought me a nice new gift...

It is a new Apple iBook G4. Wonderful capabilities for being able to get online anywhere (on the road, in the living room, just about anywhere, but probably most importantly at Starbucks Coffee.)

So, I'd suppose this is only one more step to becoming a "Apple iGeek". Mean, Daniel already had the 30G iPod before we got married (which he had lost for 8 months before we go married, and I found it the first day I was cleaning up the apartment.), and now he has bought a iBook. I'm wondering what is coming next (maybe a iBot, or possibly a iCar) never know what to expect.
